Asleep at dawn
If one believes in fate
Lest, one believes in soul mates
And to, a hundred times more
One should believe in love
Yet, so distant as to the sounds of legends untold,
A grey mist in the evening settles what's lost
And forgiven what's unsaid.
One is careful to listen
So that ye may hear the sound of the present,
Nay, it is the sound of thine heart that one hears
O'er the hills and through the deep
And more, and more the feeling is closer
As one can wait to feel that touch again
Just a brush, skin to skin, hand to..
Emptiness; as it is a dream
Asleep in the midst of longing, one sees the way
To guide like the star bright at dusk
And know, thine heart seeks not
But, as mine own sleep flutters in the dawn
One never has the chance to say such words
And by then it is already the morrow.
Hello - a poem that shows how crazy I really am
What is this place?
What is this round room?
It has padding on the walls
Is this my temple of doom?
Who the heck are these people?
Where the heck did they come from?
Why are they feeding me these pills?
No, no, I don't want some
Why don't I have a bed?
Why can't I see outside?
The room is driving me crazy!
Why does my room smell like Tide?
They've got me in this crazy jacket
I hug myself all day long
There are other people out the door
Maybe I should sing my own song
They watch me from a small window
And write notes on their pad
They don't even say hello to me!
They make me so sad
Who put me in here?
What on earth did I do?
I wish that I could leave this place
I think I'm going to sue!
Well I guess I am not leaving
I guess I will sit in the corner
But this room is round!
Just call me Miss Moarner
All I want is a nice walk
They must be scared I could leave
Just open up the front door
Hey look, it's Steve!
It's Steve! It's Steve!
My old good friend
He's in the room with me!
I guess it's not the end
But he's not in a jacket
But he doesn't want to play
He wants to paint with crayons
But I don't have any, I have to say
Those people outside the door won't let me
They must think I am lazy
I guess I will just stay here
Cuz they seem to think I'm crazy.
Familiar Song
I hear a tune, something familiar
A voice, an echo
And as I sit in the present,
I am taken back in time
Though time passes slower
And I am reminded of things
I almost forgot about
It seems that time has become my enemy
Nothing left but a hole
It feels like an eternity
People I knew suddenly appear
And the world feels like it colapses on me
Is this what I am to be
I will never regret
Though decisions I made
I would go back and do again
So as I sit here entraced by this familiar song
Your voice, carved into an echo
Radiates from my speakers
All the energy is pulled to me
Is this what I am to be
The people I knew, just aquaintances
How can I imagine back then
What would come
So I keep telling myself my life is perfect
Yet far from it,
My family, though, is all I need
And they are perfect
Crazy dreams, they stir up trouble
This music, this familiar song
The echo's get longer and I start to awaken
To find myself back in the reality I started in
Wherever that is...
The following is my earlier stuff.
Darkness
In a world of darkness, I see not what I want to see.
I see a world of hatered,
A world of mutiny,
A world of war and death.
Not a world of peace, harmony, and forever happiness.
But, like a dove, I was set free.
Set free of my hatered,
Free of mutiny,
Free of war and death.
I shed this old life, and go onto another one.
And leave the old life as I found it.
If only you knew...
If you only knew that you could get through,
The small chamber called love.
A fragrance of ignorance has filled the room,
As a small piece of diamond falls from your finger,
Water droplets fall from my face,
While the room fills up with hatred, and love.
At the same time, we cry, together.
For no reason, hatred has taken over us,
A sweet stench of greed, and selfishness,
Then, as I try not to cry, I feel a sharp pain.
Deep inside my chest.
This pain is overwhelming.
It will scar me forever.
Then, as you break my heart in two,
Another diamond falls from your finger.
Another water droplet falls from my face.
Use your imagination, and you can get through,
This chamber we call love.
Our love
Such sweet words that are revived from sour lips,
To cast me down, and watch me frown,
Do not believe those sweet words,
I ever more did love you so,
Alas my shadow fades to light,
And when I leave, my spirit does not leave your side,
Our love keeps me alive, and awake for more,
Do not dismay, go not astray,
The moon, nor stars, no galaxy afar,
Shall interfere with your arms around me,
Take my heart; don't break it so,
Take my vow; and keep it strong,
Take my lips; and kiss them sweet,
Take my hand; don't let it go.
These sweet words I so do mean,
That I should show my love and let it be seen.
